Supreme Court questions Rajpal Yadav over not settling loan

Comedian-actor Rajpal Yadav known for films like Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya, Apna Sapna Money Money, Bhool Bhulaiyaa among others, has now been trapped in a legal controversy. Reportedly, the Supreme Court has slammed the actor over not settling his loans from a businessman.

A bench comprising of Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice R F Nariman claimed that the actor has been filing several undertakings for a long period of time and yet hasn't finished off the loan he has taken. A few days ago, the apex court had asked Rajpal to appear before them and surrender to Tihar Jail where he is yet to complete six days of the 10 day imprisonment he was sentenced to in 2013.

The loan amounts to Rs. 5 crores which was taken by Rajpal Yadav and his wife in 2010 from a Delhi based businessman named M G Agarwal whilst the actor was making his directorial debut Ata Pata Lapata. However, as per recent reports, not only did he fail to return the said amount but he has also been alleged of filing false affidavits in the apex court in 2013 with fake signature of his wife. Later, the recovery suit filed by Agarwal was moved to the High Court who accused Rajpal of resorting to false means and hence had even sentenced him for 10 days for contempt.

5 TIMES WHEN PRIYANKA CHOPRA FILLED INDIA’S HEART WITH PRIDE

Priyanka Chopra is the only actor till date who has managed to achieve unthinkable success in the West and that too at a young age. There have been innumerable instances when PeeCee made us sit glued to our seats and take notice of her powerhouse skills, that not only boast of acting, but also dancing and singing.

She is a glaring example to all the women out there, who dream of achieving big on their own terms without any Godfather in the industry.

Army pushing for more deadly scout vehicles

This post is appearing on Autoblog Military, Autoblog's sub-site dedicated to the vehicles, aircraft, and ships of the world's armed forces.

Scouts, by their very definition, should avoid combat. They head out ahead of a main force, gather intelligence, and return to base. Game over, mission accomplished. But occasionally, scouts need firepower, not only for defensive purposes but in case they run across an enemy scout or patrol that could potentially give away their position. How does the Army plan on adding firepower? Here's a hint – it involves a big cannon.

The Army recently demoed two modified vehicle prototypes fitted with 30-millimeter cannons. One, the so-called "ground mobility vehicle 1.1 prototype," according to Military.com, featured a belt-fed M230-LF cannon from an AH-64 Apache attack helicopter on its roof, and the "light armored vehicle combat reconnaissance vehicle prototype" used an integrated Kongsberg turret – it's like a tank's turret – with an MK44 chain gun. The goal is added lethality, which the Army showed off in a live-fire exercise.

According to Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster, director of the Army Capabilities Integration Center and deputy commanding general of Futures at Training and Doctrine Command, the demonstration is part of an effort to drive discussion into the need for specialty vehicles, after the cancellation of the Army's Light Reconnaissance Vehicle program last month. Instead of equipping scout units with the new vehicle, the Army will dispatch JLTVs "with potential sensor and lethality upgrades."

"We are facing threats, enemies, and adversaries who have watched us very closely in recent years and have adapted their capabilities and developed new capabilities that have resulted in our forces in the future potentially losing our ability to overmatch the enemy in close combat," Lt. Gen. McMaster said. "This is an effort to invigorate and improve the capabilities of our reconnaissance formations and, in particular though, to make sure every Army formation has that appropriate combination of mobility, protection and lethality,"

Amazon gets permission to test Drone deliveries in the UK

Amazon Inc said on Monday it has entered into a partnership with the British government to speed up the process for allowing small drones to makes deliveries. The world’s biggest online retailer, which has laid out plans to start using drones for deliveries by 2017, said a cross-government team supported by the UK Civil Aviation Authority had provided it with the permissions necessary to explore the process.

Amazon unveiled a video last year showcasing how an unmanned drone could deliver packages, narrated by former Top Gear TV host Jeremy Clarkson. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said last month the use of drones for deliveries will require separate regulation from their general use. Wal-Mart Stores Inc said last month it was six to nine months from beginning to use drones to check warehouse inventories in the United States.

The deliveries are part of Amazon’s Prime Air program. Amazon had previously tested Drone deliveries in the US. The program eventually hopes to use protruding urban features including streetlamps as base stations for drones. There were some indications that Amazon wanted to test its Drone delivery service in India as well, but that did not take off. Amazon has warehouses in Mumbai and Bengaluru, making these places ideal for such a test.
