Well, if you see the nominations, Akshay Kumar hasn’t been nominated for Best Actor. He had given some amazing performances in ‘Airlift’ and ‘Rustom’. Even both the films have not been nominated in the Best Film category. Like Akki, even Randeep Hooda, who was excellent in ‘Sarbjit’, unfortunately finds no place in the nominations. Fawad Khan has been nominated for ‘Kapoor & Sons’ in the Best Supporting Actor category, although didn’t he play the lead character in the film?

In the category of the Best Actress, Anushka Sharma has been nominated for ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. We are not saying that she didn’t deserve a nomination for the film, but wasn’t ‘Sultan’ her better streak than ‘ADHM’. While Kirti Kulhari has been nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category, we wonder if the organisers forgot to nominate Taapsee Pannu in Best Actress category. Also much to our disappointment, Sakshi Tanwar has not been nominated for Best Supporting Actress.

Well, now we can only hope that Filmfare gives away the awards to the most deserving of the lot.
