Nokia Android Smartphones Could Get Launch at MWC 2017

Nokia was a pioneer mobile phone manufacturer in the world at a time, later it saw a massive downfall and ultimately, it disappeared from the handset market altogether. Despite the loss in the smartphone market, Nokia has promised to make a grand comeback with its Android-powered smartphones.


The company has partnered with HMD Global to create the Nokia mobiles and tablets for the next 10 years. HDM Global has now confirmed its presence at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC), which is scheduled on February 27, 2017.


According to James Rutherfoord, who is the CEO of mobile device commodities at Microsoft, Asia Pacific, the HMD Global will launch two new phones In the Q4 2016 and at least two smartphones are lined up for launch in early second quarter of 2017. Earlier in October, Nokia also confirmed its presence at the MWC 2017. However, the MWC 2017 presence does not guarantee that Nokia will announce any smartphone.


The Nokia Android smartphones have been a hoard of leaks recently on the internet. The recent leaks have tipped off at two high-end mobiles. One among these latest mobiles will sport a 5.2-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display, while the other one will feature a larger 5.5-inch QHD display.


Coming to the specifications of the upcoming mobiles, both devices are expected to be equipped with 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processors. For photography, both smartphones will offer a 22.6MP primary rear camera with LED flash and feature 4K video recording capabilities.


The smartphones are expected to have support for connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Besides this, no other details such as front camera resolution, battery capacity, internal storage have received yet. The Smartphone could run on latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The rumors are indicating a projected price of the upcoming mobile and it might start at Rs 30,000.


Additionally, the Nokia D1C smartphone also made its appearance on the internet. The Nokia D1C is the most rumored smartphone these days. The Smartphone was first spotted as a 5.2- or 5.5-inch display on Geekbench later mentioned as a 13.8-inch tablet on GFXBench listing. Recently Nokiapoweruser claimed that the Nokia D1C is a 4.8-inch device and GFXBench might have mentioned incorrect scaling factor in its listing. Now, the Nokiapoweruser website has stated that the Nokia D1C will feature a 5.5-inch display. Based on various leaks, the specifications of the upcoming mobile are listed below.

Besides this, there was one more smartphone that made headlines called the Nokia C1. A leaked render of Nokia C1 has appeared with a super thin bezel design alongside the curved edges and unibody design. Recent leaks hinted that the Nokia C1 could feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. Based on several reports, the Nokia C1 could get priced in between Rs 10,000 to Rs 14,000.
