Android Nougat Update Released For One Plus 3 And One Plus 3T

One Plus, one of our favourite Android manufacturer, began rolling out Android Nougat updates to their latest flagships One Plus 3 and One Plus 3T. This comes after the company has announced that they will deliver the latest Android update before the end of 2016. The updates, packed under Oxygen OS 4, are now rolled out incrementally, layers meaningful features on top of Android without getting in the way.

The new update brings the following features to One Plus 3 and One Plus 3T:

New Notifications Design
One Plus brings the best of Android N, the new notification design to with the Oxygen OS 4. Notifications are now batched together based on apps and many of them allow you to interact with them more than what previous versions allowed without opening the app. This means you can directly reply to messages from the notification bar itself.

Built-in Display Scaling
One Plus phone always had huge displays and with that came bigger fonts and icons. The new update brings display scaling that will finally allow the users to change the display scaling, which means you can now have a bigger or smaller font and icons across the device.

Simplified Layout
The simplified layout is a new home screen customization option. It brings a basic home screen layout with a clock widget alongside the icons of 9 of the favourite apps to the home screen, while all other widgets are confined to the Widget Shelf. You can switch between the standard layout and simplified layout very easily.

Status Bar Icon Options
Oxygen 4 update now lets users customize the status bar icons. You can choose from settings what all icons you want to be displayed in the status bar and how. You can remove icons you don't want to see like mobile data or even Wi-Fi from the status bar and make it look less cluttered.

Other features new update brings include new settings menu design, Multi-Window View, easy app switching by hitting the back button twice and improved shelf customization. The update is expected to reach all the One Plus 3 and One Plus 3T users over the air in next few days.
